以前アメリカで一番よく見かける動物はリスであるという記事をオラフィーは書きました✎
ですが、リスに負けず劣らず本当によく見かける動物はウサギです🐰🐰
オラフィーの家の周りにもたくさんのウサギ🐰がいます。
神奈川県に住んでいたオラフィーの家の近くでは狸はいても、野ウサギはほとんど見かけませんでした😲😲その為、こちらに赴任して野ウサギを見つけた時はピーターラビットだ❕と嬉しくなったものです。
しかしながら、リスと同様に、日本人から見る目と米人から見る目は全く違います。そうです、彼らは「害獣」という扱いなのです😥😥
ウサギに対してはこんな印象だそうです。

確かに可愛くてとってもフワフワなのだが、たくさんの被害をもたらす。たった1匹のウサギですら。そしてその修復は高価である。
被害の一般的な例は
1. 木の根を齧る。
2. 農作物、果物を食べる。
3. 繁殖食力が高い。又、病気の元となる病原菌を持っている。
4. 尿が芝生焼けを引き起こす。
可愛いだけでは済まされないウサギ達。ですがついつい見かけると愛らしく思ってしまうオラフィーでした😲😲
